Why a workout program I will never do has me more excited than any in a long time

I get a bit more excited about the announcement of new workout programs than a sane person should. When I found out about Tony Horton's newest workout 22 Minute Hard Corps, I was literally counting down the days till I could order it and get my copy. There is a new workout coming in July called Shift Shop that has me equally excited and nervous. 

So why am I so excited about a workout that I have no intention of doing from start to finish? 

I am so excited about how this workout can be a game changer in so many people's life. I was listening to a podcast the other day. I heard someone say that the Beachbody mission statement is Help others to live a healthy (happy) and fulfilling life. The happy is in parentheses because the person feels like she needs to add this and I agree that happiness comes along with being healthy and fulfilled. But how can we be helping everyone if we leave out such a large segment of the population. There are so many people who would look at an ad for a Beachbody program and think 'No Way'. More than 65% of the Americans over the age of 20 are either overweight or obese with 35% of them considered obese. It is unlikely that an obese or extremely overweight person will feel motivated to start a workout that is challenging to someone in much better shape. 
So now with the introduction of Youv2 we (Beachbody and I) are able to help people who are ready to make a commitment to living a healthy and fulfilling life but might be intimidated by a more traditional workout program.  This is a dance party workout. This workout and accompanying nutrition plan are designed to get you started. The moves start very basic and then gradually get a bit more involved. 4 of the workouts are pure upright dancing and fun. The other 2 workouts use bodyweight to help strengthen and tone the muscles.  
The plan behind the nutrition is K.I.S.S.-Keep it Super Simple. 

Each week you add one or two things to your nutrition program so you are not overwhelmed by all new changes.
Week 1- Add Shakeology and up your daily water intake
Week 2- Add a Youv2 approved breakfast
Week 3- Add a Youv2 approved lunch
Week 4- Add a Youv2 approved dinner

There is even a daily journal to help you keep track of how you are feeling. Emotions and state a mind play such a huge part in weight loss. 

By the end of the first month the plan is to get you moving, eating better and feeling more confident.
